The nation’s workers’ compensation system may be facing a new challenge, domestic terrorism. The National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) issued a bulletin effective January 27, 2021, alerting the nation to a high threat environment. The Department of Homeland Security alert extends through April 30, 2021.

Zadroga Benefits Should Cover Cancer Claims for 9-11 Victims
Jon Stewart advocates for the Zadroga 9-11 Bill to cover cancer claims. The legislation enacted over a year ago provides benefits for those who were in the vicinity of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

World Trade Center Registration Deadline September 13, 2010
The deadline to register with the NY State Workers' Compensation Board is September 13, 2010 if you participated in the rescue, recovery and clean-up of the World Trade Center following the attack of September 11, 2010. The work duty covers Ground Zero, Fresh Kills Landfill, the barges, the piers and the morgues.
